Our Story

Pick-A-Peck Pickles brings the traditions of Midwestern home canning to California and the West Coast. We’ve taken age-old family recipes and secret pickling methods and melded them with the influences of the fertile Northern California Valley, along with it’s Hispanic-driven tendencies towards spiciness.

Pick-A-Peck started with a family of four brothers who shared a passion for the home pickled veggies they grew up eating from their family’s cellar. Over years of honing their pickling skills, they began to experiment with the fresh produce available to them in their newly adopted Northern California Valley home. Most notably, this involved introducing a variety of hot peppers to traditional dilly recipes. Spurred on by the success of their hot pickled asparagus and green been recipes, Pick-A-Peck has continued exploring the boundaries of the new age of pickling. We’re dedicated not only to keeping the tradition alive, but also to fueling the rebirth of pickling for the generations to come.
